Handcannon calibre[edit]

That handcannon isn't really a 50 cal, when you playing some custom map, when you picking up a handcannon ammo, it said ".44 caliber" , the voice actor also mistake it as 50 cal. --EricFong 10:09, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

The ".44 caliber" output is the result of a mistake by the author of a third-party map. If I made a map that contains handcannon ammo and I call them ".22 rounds", it wouldn't make it a fact. Ad bots[edit]

Playing the Game[edit]

Myself and my friend Bukkithead are serious, but relatively newish, players of the game and are working on map completion, and I want to contribute to the wiki (a lot needs 'tidying'). There are 7 of us, all of whom I or Bukkithead know. Bukkit usually hosts our games, and limits the number of players so that noone unknown can join. We'll look into VoIP since we usually LAN or Skype. Thanks, it works. Yesterday, I fixed main page error by Pooh for dinner. I don't blame him, because I screwed a lot of things when I started my first edition, it was Fleshpound/ru. About switches, good to know, I will use it now if it necessary, but this time I avoided it. BTW, what should I do to prevent my articles from deletion? Thanks for fixing his errors. The only "Russian" articles I recall deleting were by Kaldun and Pyro because they created multiple articles that were either literally copies of the English articles or comprised of a single line of content. Here came the trouble maker[edit]

Hi, this is pooh for dinner, and came with new troubles and questions. I'm trying to understand how the articles are made and moves. Anyway, it's quite difficult for me... Oh, here are my questions

1. While I was translating the Fleshound page, I found out that the table from headhealth was unable to change. (I'm trying to translate Eng to Kor remaining the other templates and stuffs.) See the problematic part is The base hit points of the Weldindisdowa's head is 700; its total health on normal with one player, and for every additional player 210 hit points is added. This figure is then multiplied by 0.5 on beginner, 1 on normal, 1.35 on hard, 1.55 for suicidal, and 1.75 for hell on earth.

Achievements/ru line up[edit]

Revision at Killing Floor Mod...[edit]

To Weldindisdowa,

I am new here too. But I just wanted to add those information for the KF Mod gamers to let them know of the upcoming KF V3 that is in its BETA stage. Sorry that I seem as if I was ignoring you. I just don't know how to use My Talk.

about LAW edit[edit]

I need to point out that I didn't spit out something wrong by editing the L.A.W page and adding those information. These test videos here shows how LAW deals double damage on a headshot. Videos are dated of 2010, but I have a strong feeling that it still works. The Weapon Stat Document I read says the "undetonated" projectile from L.A.W, M32 and M79 have x2.0 headshot multiplier; point blank to 6 meters. Supposedly it's just the impact damage that doubles up on a headshot. I might need some back up on that before I edit the page again thou. Headshot doesn't create a drastical change

As for hitting solid obstacle from VERY close and dying is a thing that happens to me alot(as a level6 demo). I remember I hit the barrel at bioticslab accidentally from close, it surfed along the surface, hit the floor then detonated with a small blast radius which kills me in an instant. May be I should do a little more research on that.

erm... something is wrong here? If fleshpounds really take 2.0x damage from M32/M79 nades, then each unperked m32 shot should cause 700 damage to it.
However, on a 6-man normal difficulty server, I've never been able to kill a fleshpound(3375hp) within 6 shots when using M32 as a medic or commando....
I've done a very quick test using a lvl 6 demo on beginner difficulty. The fleshpound did not die when I shot a M79 at its feet....
I believe we should test it a few more times (headshots & bodyshots) before we can finalize the table.

hiya again, sorry for the late reply. regarding the 6-man normal fp, i guess its because i always aim the 1st 1~2 nades at head/torso & fire the last few at his feet to splash him in case of a miss....
i don't have the mutator to change specimen health, so my test setup is as follow:
1) Started a HOE difficulty listen server on testmap6p
2) Spawn a husk to kill off the extra players until i'm the only one left.
3) Spawn a stationary fleshpound (body health should be 2625) in the small sideroom.
4) Shoot at the fleshpound's head with a m32, wait for smoke to clear, shoot again until the next m32 shot will kill him.
5) Switch to 9mm & shoot at his torso(lights area) until he die.
6) Repeat the test 2 more times to make sure i have consistent results.
7) Repeat steps 3~6 now aiming at the torso(light) & leg (right shin/boot)
final results looks kind of weird to me.... table below:

possible explanation is damage falloff due to distance from explosion? i think i need to hunt down that health change mutator & test it out some more when i'm free...

wiki attacked by spammer[edit]

I'm contacting you since you and Balthazar are the only two admins listed as active on the Active Users page. If there's a better way to contact an admin, not sure what it is.

Tonight, between 2-3am UTC on 4 July, a spammer hit the wiki. The majority of malicious edits came from I think I reverted them all.

Elicia3434 also made edits to User:Elicia3434. I think it's spam, but it's a new page and didn't overwrite anything, so I left it be. I don't think there is any way for me to check the IP this user is coming from to see if it matches the above IP. This account also tried to make edits that show up in the AbuseLog (which now that I look at it, shows that has been trying for a while. I guess they just got lucky.)

User Killersk80 was created in the same time period, but does not appear to have made any edits. May not be malicious.

Summer 2012 new weapons[edit]

Heh heh, was going to edit Weapon_damage_table/other but you beat me to it... :P Anyway, I've created a nice table here User_talk:DarthZeth#Summer_2012_New_Weapons if you want to refer to it. Have tested the base damages using the same setup as last time (the fleshpound torso/leg shot incident), but the following have not been tested:

Headshot multipliers
Reload times
HSG shotgun damage when using support spec.

Anyway, I'm signing off for the day, be back tomorrow to help with the updates. :)

Yes, special privileges are required to delete pages. Thanks for all the effort you've put into this, but unfortunately you moved the pages the incorrect way, which is copypasting contents of one page and blanking the other (this fragments the revision history). Contary. There was like you said: <English title>/ru redirecting to another page, with Russian name in URL. It was 2 pages for one article. For exaple - Medic. In russian it was: first article - "medic/ru" with redirecting to secong page - "медик" with a russian name. I want to rework this, because to much redirecting we have. What's wrong with having a redirect for each foreign-language article? Deleting the pages you've marked would result in the loss of virtually all the Russian article history, and force editors to type [[<English title>/ru|<Russian title>]] instead of [[<Russian title>]] on the Russian pages. —Weldindisdowa T/C 16:17, 26 February 2013 (GMT)

Spambot accounts[edit]

erm.. how about deleting(but not blocking) those accounts that are > 6 hrs old but without any edits? The way I see it, most valid users will only create accounts when they have something to edit. New accounts with zero edits are probably created with bots to spam the wiki at a later date. -Porkchops 13:51, 22 February 2013 (GMT)
I've created accounts on wiki's before without editing them, just because I might want to edit them in the future and want to make sure someone doesn't steal my username on there. When the spambots realised that we disabled anonymous talk page creation, they got around that by registering.
